ST. KEVIN’S FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE IS RECRUITING THE FOLLOWING
POSITION:

PROJECT MANAGER, FIXED TERM CONTRACT, 1 YEAR

St. Kevin’s Family Resource Centre is a local family resource centre
working across the communities of Kilnamanagh, Kingswood and Tymon
North in Tallaght. The vision of the organisation is to create an
equal, inclusive and cohesive community, where people have a sense of
belonging. The centre runs several programmes, including a large early
years service, family support, counselling, community education and we
support community leaders and groups. We work from community work
values, of empowerment, participation, social justice, and
anti-discrimination.

ROLE SUMMARY:

To work in partnership with the Voluntary Board of Directors (VBOD),
staff and community leaders to follow through the aims, objectives and
agreed areas of work outlined in the five-year Strategic Work-plan
( *). The Project Manager will manage a core
staff team and oversee the facilitation and development of all
programmes and services operating in the centre. Accessing funding for
new and existing programmes will also be an ongoing part of the work
to meet the demands and needs of the local community. Providing
leadership in the organisation ensuring the values and ethos of the
organisation are upheld.

HOURS OF WORK:

The Project Manager will work a *-hour week
excluding lunch breaks. The role involves some flexibility including
evening and weekend work for which time off in lieu will be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

* A relevant third level degree (Community and Youth Work, Applied
Social Studies, Social Care, or similar)
* Proven experience managing a team in the community and voluntary
sector.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* Excellent knowledge of community work and family support.
* Strong leadership, inter-personal, analytical and problem-solving
skills.
* Understand and have an ability to explain good governance.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills.
* Strong IT skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
* Excellent writing and report writing skills.
* Excellent human resource skills, support and supervision of staff
and managing employment issues.
* Good financial management skills. Ability to prepare budgets,
apply for grants and work within budgets.
* A commitment to social justice and equality and positive social
change.
* An understanding of issues impacting families and communities.
* Full driving licence and access to a car.
* Flexible to undertake out of hours work when required.
* Ability to prioritise tasks/objective and work on own initiative.
